Nancy Joyce’s art invites you to step beyond the ordinary and glimpse worlds not easily seen. Her paintings explore realities that seem to shimmer just beneath the surface of perception.

With roots in art, advertising and design, Nancy’s creative journey has been anything but conventional.. In 2003, she faced the profound challenge of macular degeneration and nearly lost her ability to see. 

Her recovery became a powerful experience of resilience and renewal. It also deepened her fascination with how we see and experience the world around us.

Today, Nancy lives and paints in the sun-drenched landscapes of Baja, Mexico. Surrounded by ocean, desert and expansive skies, her work continues to grow in both scale and expression.

Working with acrylics, oils and cold wax, Nancy builds layers of color, atmosphere and movement. Increasingly larger and bolder, her paintings explore the meeting place between landscape, abstraction and the unseen.

Alongside her original works, Nancy creates commissioned paintings and collaborates with interior designers, architects and developers. Together, they consider scale, architecture, palette and atmosphere to create artwork that feels at home within its surroundings.

Inspired by her spirit animal, the hawk, Nancy creates with the eyes of a seeker. Above all, her paintings invite us to remain curious—to look beyond what is immediately visible and experience the world through a lens of possibility.
